Analytical capabilities include organophosphate, carbamate, and chlorinated insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides, as well as PAHs, PCBs, and other non-agricultural pollutants.

Available instrumentation includes:

Varian GC-MS-MS
Agilent GC-MS
HPLC with fluorescence and photodiode array detectors
GC with detectors specific for phosphorus, carbon, sulfur, halogen, and nitrogen-containing compounds
Soxhlet and supercritical fluid extractors
ELISA plate readers
Radiometric capabilities including a biological oxidizer, beta scanner, and liquid scintillation counter

FEQL faculty have experience setting up and conducting field studies for environmental fate of pesticides in all media and best management practices for agrichemical use.
