ACS Project SEED
Summer Interns

The American Chemical Society (ACS) sponsors a high school internship program called Project SEED. The objective of the program is to give students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to work in a research laboratory and learn first hand about a career in a scientific field. In recent years, WSU Food and Environmental Quality Lab (FEQL) has obtained ACS Project SEED funds and faculty mentored high school students from the Yakima Valley and Columbia Basin. After eight weeks of data collection relevant to their research projects, the students presented posters about their work (downloadable at the links below).
